Aleph (YC S21) (YC S21) makes it easy for finance teams to build financial models in Excel/Google Sheets that are always up-to-date. Our main thesis is that, while specialized software abounds (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, etc.), it's usually clunky, too expensive to implement and maintain, and takes people away from the tool they love the most — spreadsheets.

Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company. We are a small but mighty team of 10, backed by top VCs (Khosla Ventures, Google Ventures, YC), and work with customers like Turo, Notion, Zapier, and others.

🔍 What we're looking for

We are looking for our first Account Executive. This is a pivotal moment for us: our transition from founder-led sales to a sales team, and you will have a critical role in this transition.

You will work closely with our CEO and our Operations team to continuously expand and adapt our sales strategy and playbook and set a solid foundation to scale. You will also collaborate with our product and engineering teams to incorporate prospect insights into the product roadmap.

Our target users are finance experts, so you need to speak their language: prior experience in finance and excellence at spreadsheets are essential.

👷 What you'll be doing

Going from top to the bottom of the funnel:

  • Take over our prospecting motion to ensure a steady stream of leads into the pipeline
  • Qualify opportunities to make sure we engage with the right prospects
  • Understand the prospect’s financial setup to identify how exactly Aleph will benefit them
  • Deliver personalized demos of Aleph
  • Collaborate with our Solutions and Data teams to design high impact trials
  • Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to keep making Aleph better every day

Startup fit

  • You have an ownership mentality and are excited to take on responsibility
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic, even chaotic, environment
  • You are passionate about working closely with customers
  • You are comfortable working in a remote team

Your skills and experience

  • 1-2 yrs of experience as an AE at a Series A-C company
  • 1-2 yrs of prior experience as an SDR
  • Strong analytical skills. You enjoy extracting insights from data

Bonus points

  • Significant exposure and interest in Finance, with emphasis in FP&A
  • Strong modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets

📑 Additional notes

Because this is our first sales hire, it is likely that the commission structure will change during the first few quarters as we iterate towards the right structure. This is a high-impact role, and compensation will reflect that.

While this is a remote-first opportunity, we're focusing on candidates within the Americas to better align with our working hours as a team.
