Director Experience Design, VML LLC, Kansas City, MO. Identify strategic design opportunities across one or more client portfolios and guide clients from intent through solution. Utilize knowledge of full portfolios for assigned clients and seek client growth opportunities. Lead human-centered design workshops, stakeholder interviews, strategic thinking, and portfolio-level planning. Collaboration with the Experience Strategy function on discovery and experience goals. Oversee work, guide skill development, and inspire design team. Set experience vision for products and projects, heavily influencing visual and conversation stylings. Ensure design teams meet accessibility, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) criteria, brand standards, content strategy, and development needs. Act as a point of escalation for client communications and design team concerns. Supervise deliverables and create them for assigned projects.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Liberal Arts, Interaction Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related field, and three (3) years of post-bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

• Researching, testing usability, and developing strategic UX solutions for high-traffic digital experiences;
• Design, strategic thinking, and digital storytelling; and
• Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and diagramming tools.

Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

• Leading HCD workshops using design thinking methods; and
• Working with digital agencies and leading multiple account portfolios and teams.
