About the Role:

As the Chief Technology, Product, and Security Officer (CTO/CPO/CISO) at Søter, you will play a critical role in shaping the company’s technological and product strategies. This role is far from typical. We are seeking a visionary leader with a robust background in both technology and product development. You should have a deep understanding of the risks associated with the digital asset space such as custody, slashing, and smart contract risks, and the ability to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to drive the development of Søter’s insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Provide vision and direction for the development of Søter’s insurance products, particularly those related to digital assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our product offerings meet market needs while effectively managing associated risks.

Technology Infrastructure:

• Lead the development of Søter’s technology platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and capable of supporting our innovative insurance products.
• Focus on automating custody, staking, and on/off-ramp operations as part of the broader product-related operations.

Product Development:

• Bring a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset to identify new product opportunities, particularly in areas like smart contract insurance and transaction insurance.
• Your role will involve not only building these products but also understanding and managing the risks associated with them.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and oversee robust security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard our clients’ digital assets.
• While the CISO aspect of the role is crucial, the focus on broader strategic responsibilities is just as important.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Technology and Product Leadership: A seasoned leader with experience as a CTO, CPO, or similar role in a technology-driven organization within the Web3, blockchain, or digital asset space.
• Risk Management Expertise: Deep understanding of crypto-related risks, including custody, slashing, and smart contracts, with the ability to develop products that manage these risks effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with programming languages relevant to blockchain technology, such as Solidity, along with strong technical acumen in cryptographic principles and secure key management.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Significant experience in start-up or scale-up environments, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth setting, and capable of taking a hands-on approach to building and scaling technology and product teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
