As our first developer evangelist, you will pioneer the marketing motion, shape our culture, and super charge our growth. You will drive awareness of Recall among the developer community to generate inbound leads for the sales team. You’ll double down on what is currently working (content marketing) while experimenting with new growth levers.

Responsibilities

  • Create content for various online channels, including writing tutorials, guides, and starter templates, and collect feedback for our developers.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand how to best target our audience.
  • Generate new ideas for channels and campaigns, aggressively testing your theories, and scaling winners while cutting losers.
  • Engage with developers on social media and online communities.
  • Create case studies with our customers and turn them into valuable social proof.
  • Build and action our SEO strategy.
  • Show demonstrable improvement in our growth KPIs within 3 to 6 months.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a developer evangelist or developer relations role.
  • Excellent technical written communication skills.
  • Experience marketing to developers & the developer tooling space.
  • SEO experience.
  • Proven track record of past successes.
  • Metrics-driven & an experimental mindset.
  • Bonus points:
    • Previous experience writing content for a developer audience.
    • Previous experience at a Series A or Series B startup.

Annual Salary

  • The expected salary range for this position is $110k - $140k.
  • The expected equity range for this position is 0.25% - 0.75%.
