Invert is working to automate the design and execution of bioprocesses. Our tools are crucial, as scientists make new biomaterials to solve the environmental crisis, invent new therapies to combat disease, and produce essential chemicals cleanly.
We're a multi-disciplinary team who love learning about each others’ fields, and are very comfortable working with people who haven't previously worked on biology.
You will be joining a fast-growing team of highly ambitious engineers, data scientists, biologist, and more. We're backed by smart investors including Y Combinator and CEOs from industry. We're just getting started, so joining our team will mean having a large impact on a very important problem space.
This role is exactly what is says on the tin.
As a full stack engineer at Invert, you’ll work on all parts of the product, designing and building data models, APIs and user experiences in the highly complex world of digital biology.
Our engineering team is currently spread across Europe, and we’re eager to hire someone on the North American west coast, though this is not a strict requirement.
You will play an active role in expanding our team westward, by assuming team lead and mentorship responsibility early, as well as taking an increased ownership for customer integrations and on-site customer visits when necessary.
Lead feature implementations, enabling us to quickly iterate, evolve and scale.
Align our design and architecture decisions with Invert’s overall technical direction and the overall strategy of the company.
Contribute day to day in delivering our cycle goals and long term visions by balancing trade-offs between: speed of product experimentation, reliability, UX, and technical debt.
Engineer solutions across Invert’s full stack: functionality and styling in the frontend, APIs and business logic on the backend, plus database models, ingestion pipelines, and more.
Actively engage with our customers and users in collecting feedback early, and often, on product usage, new product features and territory to cover.
Take (shared) ownership of: product reliability, effectiveness of our processes, and tooling in continuously improving the experience to use and work with our software.
