Segments.ai is helping robotics and automotive companies label their multi-sensor data for AI training and validation. Our platform enables customers to efficiently annotate their point cloud and image data, accelerating their path to autonomy.

We're a fast-growing, remote-first YC startup with a lean team and healthy runway. Segments.ai is used by large organizations as well as innovative startups building the next generation of autonomous drones, delivery robots, self-driving cars, and more.

In this role you'll report to the CTO, and work closely with the engineering team and the founders. Our tech stack is Vue.js (+ Three.js) on the frontend and Django/DRF on the backend, running on AWS. We’re using Tinybase to work towards a local-first webapp.

Your responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge multi-sensor (3D + 2D) labeling and visualization tools
• Optimize the performance and UX of existing features
• Work closely with customers to translate their requirements into powerful new features
• Maintain and improve the overall quality of our codebase and DevOps processes
• Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to other team members
• Contribute to documentation and technical blog posts to showcase our expertise
• Help out with customer onboarding and technical support

What it takes

• A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a senior frontend engineer, with a proven track record of building complex and high-performance front-end applications using modern frameworks like Vue.js or React
• Experience with Three.js and WebGL is a significant plus
• A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences
• An entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to take ownership and initiative
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
• A genuine interest in AI and robotics
• Located in a timezone between GMT-1 and GMT+2,  ideally in Europe
