As Metaplex expands its reach and grows its global community, we’re searching for a visionary Head of Marketing to lead the charge, shaping the narrative, deepening engagement, and driving adoption.

About the Role

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that amplifies the reach and impact of the Metaplex protocol. This role will encompass crafting compelling narratives, launching innovative campaigns, and strengthening ties with our global community that makes up the Metaplex ecosystem. As a full-stack marketing leader, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to elevate the developer ecosystem and ignite interest among developers, creators, and retail users.

Requirements & Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

• Define and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness and drive adoption of the Metaplex protocol among developers, creators, businesses, and retail users.
• Craft compelling narratives and campaigns to solidify Metaplex’s position as the leading blockchain protocol for digital assets.
• Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve strategic objectives while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Community Building & Engagement:

• Foster and grow a vibrant community by showcasing ecosystem projects, amplifying success stories, and supporting grassroots initiatives.
• Drive user awareness and brand recognition of Metaplex through targeted strategies, including campaigns and lifecycle marketing.

Product & Go-to-Market Strategy:

• Launch go-to-market strategies for new features, products, and integrations, ensuring technical innovations are communicated with clarity and impact.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business development teams to simplify complex blockchain concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.

Growth & Performance Marketing:

• Drive growth marketing initiatives such as SEO, earned and paid media, and multivariate testing to deliver measurable results.
• Oversee external marketing agencies, vendors, and resources to scale efforts and maintain excellence across campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with the Head of Communications to align on PR, event strategy, social media, blog, website, and creative content direction while leveraging external resources effectively.
• Work with the Devrel team to amplify developer engagement and adoption through targeted campaigns and technical content.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of marketing experience, including 3+ years in Web3, ideally with a top L1/L2 protocol or technical infrastructure project.
• Demonstrated success in executing growth and product launch campaigns within an early-stage environment.
• Ability to distill and communicate complex blockchain concepts to diverse audiences.
• A deep understanding of and enthusiasm for crypto and decentralized applications, with a strong preference for familiarity with the Solana ecosystem.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams or managing external resources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in the Metaplex’s Foundation’s token incentive plan. Final offer amount will be at the Metaplex Foundation’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
