Who we need

A people leader with a strong passion for technology, decentralization, and web3 ecosystems who will be able to effectively work and communicate with different stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, serve, and lead teams, including mentoring, hiring, and building best practices
    • Several teams with 20+ engineers in total
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture and development methodologies
  • Coach managers and support coaching engineers in their career development. Ensure they are equipped for career progression within our Engineering ladders framework
  • Create alignment between adopted engineering practices and the goals of the projects
  • Work cross-functionally to build trusting relationships with other parts of the organization (e.g., product, other engineering teams) and key business stakeholders.
  • Encourage a healthy work environment where everyone feels respected, empowered and has sufficient time to enjoy life
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and driving their adoption where appropriate

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years experience in web3 and a deep technical understanding of web3 technologies
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team (Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering and similar)
  • Excellent understanding of the variety of software development methodologies, their pros and cons, and having experience implementing them
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity through cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making

Bonus points

  • Experience working with open-source software
  • Intermediate proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript
  • Prior experience working in a remote environment
