About the role:

We’re hiring a Lead AI/ML Engineer with deep experience designing and deploying real-world AI systems, with a focus in NLP, GenAI, and evaluation systems.

You’ll work directly with our CTO to architect AI infrastructure that powers intelligent, responsive onchain products. Because we’re building crypto-native interfaces with AI at the core, the ideal candidate is fluent in the modern GenAI stack, has opinions on model evaluation, and isn’t afraid to go deep into both product UX and system performance.

No formal crypto work experience is required, although general interest in crypto is a must.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of production AI/ML experience, with a focus on Python, HF Transformers, other NLP tools, and proper evaluations.
• Strong understanding of modern GenAI ecosystems: frontier models, open models, vector databases, embeddings, RAG, prompt orchestration, etc.
• Hands-on experience building evaluation frameworks and benchmarks for AI systems.
• Track record of deploying and maintaining production systems — ideally including non-cloud (local or edge) inference.
• You’re product-minded and comfortable navigating ambiguity across the AI stack.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex multi-model AI systems — including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), local model inference, and hybrid pipelines.
• Manage evaluations for open-ended AI tasks (e.g. classification, summarization, question-answering) with clear metrics and iterative feedback loops.
• Contribute to product strategy and help define how AI fits into core user flows.
• Own the full lifecycle: prototyping, productization, monitoring, and iteration.
• Work closely with design and product teams to ship user-facing AI features.
• Stay ahead of the curve on LLM advances, OSS tools, and model performance trends.
