ITS is seeking a proven Front End Engineer to join our growing team. You will work with a talented group of designers, engineers, and project managers to build, test, and deploy beautiful, scalable experiences on the web.
Given the company’s fast-paced, start-up environment, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a talented engineer, and capable of leaning in to support the company in other cross-disciplinary areas.
Responsibilities:● Build clean components using React.js ● Support new and existing applications ○ MERN stack ○ Wordpress ● Develop new user-facing features ● Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs ● Demonstrate sensitivity to brand and art requirements (e.g., pixel perfect) ● Produce and deliver clean code
Qualifications:
● 5+ years professional experience ● Strong understanding of Javascript ES6+ ● Proficiency with React.js (16.0 and up) ○ Proficiency with hooks ○ Proficiency with context ○ Proficiency with build systems (webpack) ● Experience with Flux architecture (Redux, Redux Thunk, etc) ● Familiarity with Next.js ● Strong HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery experience ● Understanding of CSS pre-processing, like LESS and SASS ● Experience with responsive and adaptive design ● Familiarity with content management systems ● Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates ● Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them ● Proficient understanding of Git ● Excellent verbal communication skills
