These teams are not downstream stakeholders or blockers; they are core partners in shaping what we build and how we build it.

Our view is that product is never done, and that most value comes from systems that keep getting better over time. Product acts as the steward of this compounding process — preventing entropy, sharpening focus, and turning learning into durable advantage for both customers and the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Own mission-critical product problems — Take end-to-end ownership of the most critical product problems at any given time, make trade-offs explicit, stand behind difficult calls, and drive work that meaningfully improves customer value, retention, and unit economics.
  • Translate strategy into decisive action — Turn user insight and business judgment into clear bets, explicit “no’s”, and success metrics, grounded in Zippi’s strategy, technical constraints, and credit/risk impacts.
  • Drive product decisions across functions — Partner closely with Engineering, Risk, and Data Science, using a deep understanding of our systems to drive decisions and carry them through delivery, launch, and iteration.
  • Model product excellence — Set a high bar for product craft through structured thinking, narrative clarity, and customer obsession, sharing frameworks and learnings that help teams make better decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record of owning complexity at scale — You’ve owned mission-critical product areas in high-stakes, ambiguous environments, driving prioritization, trade-offs, and high-quality execution to ship meaningful outcomes (not just features) that materially impacted the business.
  • Strong product judgment and clarity — You combine sharp customer insight with structured thinking: you identify real pain, uncover patterns, and turn ambiguity into high-leverage bets, clear decisions, and simple solutions that work.
  • High analytical acumen – You bring strong analytical judgment to product decisions, are comfortable working with data and metrics, and know how to connect product choices to business outcomes, unit economics, and second-order effects.
  • Operates effectively across teams — You work effectively with Engineering, Risk, Growth, Data, and Operations by understanding how each function actually operates, and you use that understanding to gain leverage and drive decisions forward.
