Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a particular expertise in maturing, scaling and optimizing the infrastructure of a quickly growing product, and a passion for building, teaching, learning, and collaborating in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that supports our applications and services
• Leverage low-level programming languages, cloud native services, and serverless architectures to build scalable and resilient systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions
• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure projects, including the development of technical designs, plans, and specifications, along with their evolutions and updates
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues as needed
• Balance metrics and alerting with cost efficiency and detail
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud and infrastructure technologies

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency with programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, Go, Java, Python, Perl, or Ruby
• Experience in distributed systems, storage systems, and databases
• Strong understanding of cloud native services, such as Kubernetes, and serverless architectures such as Cloudflare Workers
• Strong Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with systems design and architecture
• Experience analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong sense of ownership and a systematic approach to problem-solving
• Proven ability to manage active incidents, address what caused them, and establish systems to avoid them in the future via blameless postmortems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with feature flags
