Job Description

As a Founding DevOps Engineer at ProSights (and one of the first employees), you will play a crucial role in building and scaling our infrastructure from the ground up. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud architecture, deployment processes, and ETL pipelines. This position is key to ensuring our platform can efficiently handle the demands of financial services companies as we revolutionize their workflows with AI-driven solutions.

We're seeking a special breed of engineer who not only excels at DevOps but genuinely enjoys it. Your role will extend beyond traditional DevOps, encompassing ETL pipeline optimization, back-end development, and potentially AI and RAG system design. You'll work closely with the founding team in a fast-paced, agile environment, contributing to all phases of our infrastructure and system architecture.

We work in a coworking with space with many other YC companies, so you will be surrounded by other engineers who are working on bleeding edge ideas and problems.

Here is what we are looking for:

• DevOps Expertise: Strong experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. Proficiency in Terraform or Pulumi is a significant plus.
• VPC Deployment Leadership: You'll spearhead our VPC deployments and develop strategies for efficient scaling.
• ETL Pipeline Optimization: Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines for speed and scalability.
• Strong Sense of Ownership: Ability to take full responsibility for our infrastructure, making critical technical decisions with a high level of autonomy.
• Versatility: While DevOps is your primary focus, you should be comfortable working on various aspects of our back-end systems, including AI and RAG implementations when needed.
• Startup Mindset: Understanding of the demands of startup life, including the need for adaptability, hard work, and the excitement of solving real-world problems.
• Problem-Solving Orientation: Strong focus on understanding and addressing the unique challenges of the investment industry through innovative technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience (2+ years) in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Pulumi)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with configuration management tools
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools
• Experience optimizing and scaling ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning infrastructures is a plus
