As a Senior Product Designer at Storyblok, you will be working on some of our most complex challenges, driving the evolution of our product and making a meaningful impact on our users' experiences. Leading the design process from concept to execution, you will conduct user research, define product requirements and create intuitive, visually compelling designs that elevate customer engagement. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and key business stakeholders, your insights will directly shape our product roadmap and strategy. This role also offers an opportunity to demonstrate your leadership and mentorship skills, guiding junior designers and working seamlessly with diverse teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Co-own and maintain our design system and style guides to ensure UI/UX consistency and enhance the overall quality of our application.
Document design processes, decisions and guidelines to promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Understand product specifications and user psychology to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences that align with Storyblok’s brand identity and guidelines.
Conduct concept and usability testing to gather feedback, inform design decisions and iterate on designs.
Facilitate discovery sessions to develop innovative solutions for complex problems, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Develop wireframes and prototypes for new features, tailoring them to meet customer needs and product requirements.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team and provide support throughout the development process to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Work with Product Managers to align design initiatives with our product strategy and roadmap, advocating for user needs and design principles.
Contribute to cross-team initiatives that impact product development and success, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all design deliverables.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
8+ years of experience in product design within the SaaS industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful design solutions
A solid portfolio showcasing expertise in visual design, interaction design and system thinking, with examples that demonstrate your ability to solve complex problems and create intuitive user experiences.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, bridging design, engineering, and product management.
Experience leading design projects is a plus, highlighting your leadership and mentorship capabilities.
A Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science or a related field is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
