About the role

Outlier Ventures is looking for an Investor Relations Associate to help our Accelerator IR team to increase investment potential for our portfolio companies as well as expanding our investor network and external brand recognition through OV branded events, attendance at conferences and exposure to our accelerator programs.

The candidate will also be tasked with fundraising support for accelerator startups, investor data management & organization as well as playing a key role in event organization & management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional understanding of web3 and/or early stage investing & a high level of tidiness when dealing with tasks and data. A personal network of investors or inclination to attract new potential investors to our accelerator programs is a big plus.

The Investor Relations Associate role will be responsible for partly managing a vast, pre-existing network of hundreds of investors, recording data accurately on investor categories, interests, theses and potential matches for them within our portfolio companies, and accurately recording new investors and interactions with those investors into our CRM. In addition, the associate will also be tasked with partly collaborating on organizing our quarterly virtual demo days as well as organizing any Outlier Ventures branded events.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical & communications skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Whilst we try to create very comprehensive and detailed Job specs, the web3 ecosystem works at a high speed making it common to get added and removed new responsibilities by time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new relationships & foster strong relationships with investors as the main point of contact at OV for those investors
  • Ownership over investor data recording on Hubspot
  • Continually updating the classification of investor data with respect to their ideal valuations, market categories, preferred investment instrument, geographic focus and any other details that pertain to their ideal investment segments within Hubspot - so as to better be able to match them to the right portfolio companies
  • Attending international events around the globe to network with and attract new investors
  • Support the current accelerator program teams on fundraising structure, ranging from strategy (valuation, raise amount, timing, instrument etc) to general brainstorming and connections with investors
  • Analysis and reporting of our investor network and potential areas of new investors to be targeted
  • Manage working cross-functionally and stakeholder management in order to support ad-hoc portfolio & investor requests (Marketing, Legal, Token Team, etc.).
  • Be part of a team to organize OV events
  • Documentation of best practices and new processes
  • Work on ad hoc projects
