Arthur Hayes is a founding advisor and the team has deep experience across traditional finance and crypto engineering from firms such as Cerberus, Wintermute, Flow Traders, Deribit, Paradigm, Aave, Blockdaemon and Kaiko. We are backed by every major exchange and trading entities in the space. What we are Doing:We are building derivative infrastructure to enable Ethereum to transform into the Internet Bond via delta-neutral derivatives positions, to create the first crypto-native, yield bearing synthetic dollar: sUSDe. We believe creating a synthetic dollar which is not reliant on existing banking infrastructure is the single most important problem to solve and largest opportunity in crypto today. USDe will form the first part of a broader ecosystem of products we are building including fixed and floating rate internet bonds and composable repo leveraged markets. Join us!! The Team:Ethena is 15 people right now. You’d report directly to the CEO and be part of the Operations team, which currently consists of a General Council and a People & Talent specialist. You’d collaborate more with these 3 people the most, but would also engage with all members of the Ethena team. All are highly experienced in what they do, collaborative in the way they work and you’ll enjoy working with them in building the operational side of the most highly anticipated project in DeFi this year. The ideal candidate would be in one of the following time zones: EST, GMT, CET Who We are Looking For:

• An experienced Finance and Accounting Operations professional, with experience in a Digital Asset oriented organization. Eg a Protocol, trading firm, exchange etc

• An Individual who is excited by the opportunity to join an early stage team and define how the commercial and operational finance functions operate

• A facilitator who enjoys the challenge of solving issues and creating solutions that only organizations a uniquely new offering would encounter

• An individual who is curious and always looking to learn new concepts, leveraging a mix of traditional accounting and crypto native tools like multisigs and blockchain reporting & tracking applications

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of our Financial Operations function, as well as advise & help manger the commercial finance function

• Audit, define and enhance our current processes, procedures and tools

• Proactively identify areas to build and improve financial ops processes

• Collaborate with the executive team to identify and manage budget, financial risks, and ensure the protection of company assets.

• Work with our external advisors tax, legal, compliance etc to assist in tax planning, tax filing and compliance across our geographical entities

• Running payroll (domestic and international) including both token and fiat payments

• Execute both bank & token transactions to pay vendors, partners, and others

• Responding to financial data requests from our investors and other partners

Requirements:

• 3+ years accounting experience & at least 1 in an environment with digital assets

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification

• Comfortable executing crypto transactions through a multisig and third-party platforms like Coinbase, Copper etc

• Can-do attitude, willing to approach tasks with tenacity

• Strong technical accounting

• Experience within a similar position

• Experience with consolidations + multi-currency reporting

• Fluent English, both written and spoken
