ABOUT THIS JOB

You will be working on developing and supporting Stratos and other services across our cloud-native landscape. Stratos is an open-source control panel for Cloud Foundry and partially supports Kubernetes services and apps.
The official founders of the project stopped developing it, and thus our goal is to keep Stratos alive for our customers.
This includes updating components to keep Stratos working with the latest Cloud Foundry version and having the perspective to use Stratos in Kubernetes environments in the future.

We also have a lot of other services running that will need continuous support and development. Our microservice landscape is constantly changing and growing.
The projects you are actively working on are dynamically allocated depending on the demand and resources available.
So you can apply your knowledge where it’s needed and also have the opportunity to strengthen your skills further as we progress.

We aim to automate as much of our work as possible to free up resources for what matters. You can help us shape this vision by applying your cloud platform knowledge to make our services and infrastructure self-sustainable.

If you already have experience in Kubernetes and operators already, then that’s even better!

YOUR CORE TASKS

• Further development and support of the open-source software Stratos - based on the demands and requirements of our customers.
• Become the expert and first contact person for our customers to deliver the necessary support to answer their questions.
• Implement upgrades and patches to keep our services up-to-date and secure.
• Monitor and maintain multiple internal services across a microservice landscape.
• Follow agile development methodologies like Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).

WHAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

• Experience in Agile Software Development
• Knowledge in Cloud Native development
• Good Understanding of Go and Ruby
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development

Bonus:

• Knowledge of Cloud Foundry
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
