At Hier, we want to improve the local food trade to be on par with the global food supply chain.
We are a venture-backed, fast-growing company led by Lara Hämmerle and Mark Jäger with a heart in Berlin but operating remotely first.
Your Mission 🍒
At Hier, you will support, innovate and standardize our internal operations. Your work will ensure the smooth operation of our office, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
As a core part of our internal business team, this part-time administrative, german-speaking role is an opportunity for you to have the responsibility and direct impact from day one. In addition, you will support building a work environment that makes Hier feel at home for all different perspectives, working styles, and needs.
What you'll be responsible for 🍎
- You design and facilitate Hier's work environment processes and culture, remote or on-site, to ensure our workplace runs smoothly and makes it a great workplace.
- You take ownership of various topics, including the planning and organization of company offsites.
- You help us run the best stack of tools & services to work efficiently. You'll get creative with designing processes for operations such as procurement, deliveries and dispatches, ongoing supplies, and many more.
- You work closely with people managers and founders to support office onboarding, team events, and calendar management.
- We share our office with two other lovely start-ups. You are the first point of contact if the teams need support across our office.

- The position requires a high level of German & English proficiency (min. C1)
- Previous experience working in a high-paced startup-like environment is a plus.
- As this role will take you to the organization's heart and our physical office space, we consider this a primarily on-site Berlin position.
