Overview

We’re hiring a Chief Blockchain Architect to design and deliver a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain. You’ll be responsible for architecting and implementing high-performance distributed systems, capable of handling millions of transactions with sub-second finality.

This is a hands-on architect role: you must be able to design from first principles, build core consensus and execution logic in Rust, and either develop a new L1 or fork and evolve an existing high-performance chain such as Sui.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 8–12+ years in systems programming, blockchain infrastructure, or distributed systems engineering.
• Deep Expertise: Rust, consensus algorithms, parallel execution engines, validator networks, cryptography.
• Blockchain DNA: Contributed to or forked major L1/L2 projects (Sui, Solana, Cosmos, Ethereum, Aptos, Hyperliquid).
• Visionary Builder: Proven ability to design systems that scale to millions of daily transactions.
• Claude-First: Comfortable using Claude AI for system design, code generation, audits, and debugging.
• Cultural Fit: Outcome-driven, thrives in high-pressure, high-reward startup environments.

Technical Stack / Core Skills

• Rust: Expert-level, for consensus and execution engine development.
• Move: Familiarity with Move-based smart contract platforms (Sui, Aptos).
• Solidity/EVM: Knowledge of EVM standards for interoperability.
• Consensus: Experience with Proof-of-Stake, parallel execution, and randomness.
• Infrastructure: Validator/node software, networking, sharding, storage layers.
• Security: Strong understanding of consensus exploits, cryptographic security, and audit practices.
• Tooling: SDKs, APIs, developer environments, block explorers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver a new Layer 1 blockchain or evolve an existing fork (e.g. Sui).
• Lead the design of consensus, execution, and validator models with sub-second finality.
• Define and implement protocol-level tokenomics and staking mechanics.
• Design and build secure cross-chain bridges to Ethereum, Solana, and other ecosystems.
• Establish coding standards and technical roadmap for the blockchain team.
• Use and evangelize Claude-assisted workflows to accelerate architecture and development.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of world-class Rust/blockchain engineers.
