Job Description

We're seeking a Junior Product Designer with a passion for online marketplaces, recommendations systems and SaaS applications to work directly alongside HTR’s co-founder and head of product where you will lead design execution for both the HTR App Store (end user facing site) and the vendor dashboard (SaaS application for vendors).

The ideal candidate has experience creating and maintaining design systems and delivers designs that are clear, thoughtful, organized and well documented for developers to be able to seamlessly bring their designs to life.  The ideal candidate should also enjoy working with data and visualizations that will allow you to constantly improve HTR’s recommendations systems to make better recommendations over time.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with HTR’s head of product on a daily basis to understand the roadmap, business objectives, customer needs and industry trends that will serve as the basis for your design decisions in each project.  You will also work closely with HTR’s team of engineers to communicate your vision and present your designs to ensure that every element and interaction is clearly understood by the engineering team so that no detail is left behind.

• Work closely with HTR’s co-founder and head of product to understand project requirements and objectives

• Turn rough wireframes into pixel perfect responsive designs

• Build and maintain HTR’s design system and reusable component library

• Create organized, well documented and detail oriented designs that are developer ready

• Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences

• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to ensure that your designs and vision are brought to life

Requirements

💼 Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of professional product design experience 

• Experience with SaaS applications and/or online marketplaces

• Proven experience in creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries

• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to provide assistance and guidance when needed to bring your designs to life

• Experience with mobile first responsive design

• Experience with CRO (conversion rate optimization)

• Proven experience creating responsive designs in Figma (preferred)

🎓Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Design with a focus on Interaction Design, User Experience, Interaction Design and/or Usability

• Passionate about design and constantly staying abreast of the latest trends, tools and techniques
