PiinPoint is a SaaS company looking for the right people to contribute to making a real impact in the industry of location analytics. In the Project Manager position, you’ll play an instrumental role in managing custom projects that support the development of retailers across North America. Reporting to the Vice President of Customer Experience at PiinPoint, you will help build our consulting practice, manage client engagements from start to finish, and ensure each project is delivered on time according to client specifications and business needs. You will work with some of the largest retailers in the world to help solve some of the most pressing questions in retail real estate.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager at PiinPoint, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects that drive our growth and impact. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, data science, sales, customer success and marketing, to deliver innovative location analytics solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  1. Resource Management and Capacity Planning:
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximize project efficiency and meet project objectives.
  • Monitor resource availability and address any constraints to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Work with team leads to ensure teams have the necessary tools, training, and support to deliver high-quality work.
  1. Client Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the sales team during the pre-sales phase to understand client needs and expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to propose timelines for upcoming projects
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  1. Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and client communications.
  • Generate regular project status reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Define and implement quality standards and best practices for project deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet client requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and assess project outcomes


  • 3+ Years of experience in customer success, project management, project coordination or equivalent, preferably working with B2B SaaS technology
  • World-class communication skills; you're both confident and empathetic and can engage customers over the phone, by video and in person
  • Experience as a Project Manager in a technology-driven environment, preferably within the location analytics or retail industry.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within scope.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward addressing challenges.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with proven leadership, innovation, and drive
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills to balance scheduled and reactive work
  • Strong story-telling and presentation skills
  • An interest in B2B software and an ability to quickly learn how our platform and industry work
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Spatial Analysis, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Familiarity with location-based technologies, data analytics, and software development processes is a plus.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of Customer Success, Spatial Analysis, and/or Project Management in a B2B context
  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications are desirable.
  • Professional working knowledge of French
