About the job Almedia.co works together with companies that want to advertise their apps, surveys and products. Users can solve different tasks from various so-called offer walls. For example testing an app, or filling out a survey. They receive coins as reward, which they can cash out for cash, coupons, crypto and others. We currently have over 10M monthly visits, and payed out $15M+ to our users. We're looking for several developers to join us long-term (1+ year). The job would be full-time on-site in our Berlin office. Tech Stack The current codebase is a little dated - to support our future ambitions we are doing a rewrite. Your task in the beginning would be to help in the Backend rewrite, moving different modules over to the new NestJS backend, which will take a few months. Old website: Express + Socket.io + Handlebars + JS/CSS Website rewrite: Typescript + Backend: NestJS + Frontend: React/Next.js Responsibilities

• Backend development in NestJS
• Code review and testing of merge requests locally
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Designing new backend architecture
• Communicating with the backend and frontend team

• Good English skills are very important
• 5+ years experience in web / software development
• Professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL/ PostgreSQL
• Good experience with Nest.js
• Good Experience with websockets, REST and graphql
• Experience with TypeORM
• Experience with writing tests
• Experience with React.js/Next.js is a plus
• Availability of 35h or more a week
