Construction is a massive, silo'd industry that is in the infancy of tech disruption. Supply chain issues are the biggest problem in the $11T industry right now.
Our software helps companies find, order, manage, track, and capture data on materials needed to build.
Here's the challenge if you choose to accept: CONSTRUCTION HAS THE MOST DIFFICULT SALES CYCLE OF ALMOST ANY INDUSTRY. The people are not tech fluent, there are multiple stakeholders to deal with, and projects take a long time (6 mos-3 years typically) so entry points are key.
Responsibilities of Sales Leader: maintain/update CRM, create outreach plan, follow up plan, expand funnel, assist with marketing materials, attend conferences/exhibits, lead digital outreach for warm prospects (Linkedin, Twitter), lead customer demos, and convert prospects into paying customers.
To this point all of our sales has been founder led. We work with some of the biggest general contractors and property developers in the country and we need our Sales Leader to 4x our sales the next year.
We're on pace to become the category leader in a massive market so this is an important and high performance position. It requires strong social skills, comfort talking to customer Face to Face, Zoom, Cold Call, or showing up at construction jobs to offer free food and demo (introverts not recommended).
Side note: There will be MAJOR commission and sales incentives in addition to salary and equity.
