Job Description

Clover Learning, Inc. is a fast-growing Edtech start-up seeking an experienced growth-oriented Graphic Design Specialist III to lead our graphic design team. As a member of the creative department, the Graphic Design Specialist III will play the roles of designer and team lead simultaneously. The primary focus of the Graphic Design Specialist III is to produce graphics for video learning content and marketing material based on the established Clover Learning brand identity. The Designer III will lead internal design critiques with the design team and must have an in-depth knowledge of design techniques and a keen eye for detail. The Graphic Design Specialist III may also participate in multi-departmental design critiques with the Creative Director, instructional designers, and subject matter experts (SME’s). As a direct-report to the Creative Director, the Graphic Design Specialist III will provide updates on the status of design tasks and help the Creative Director guide creative initiatives from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and work with the Creative Director on creative production for all projects
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in regards to marketing-focused projects
  • Provide support and mentorship to design staff regarding technical skills and workload management
  • Manage creative production in place of the Creative Director if possible and necessary
  • Organize and manage all files according to the Clover Learning file structure
  • Create designs using the Adobe Creative Suite and other creative production software services
  • Create designs for use in storyboards, video content, website content, marketing material, and other company uses
  • Prepare files for use in various media types including video, animation, print and web-based content
  • Deliver high quality graphics according to project timelines
  • Participate in team growth opportunities
  • Report progress to project managers and creative leads throughout production
  • Create content which aligns with the established brand image outlined in the Clover Identity Manual
  • Collaborate with all members of the creative team
  • Manage personal workflows and tasks using Jira and Google suite
  • Research educational material in order to effectively explain concepts featured in Clover Learning content
  • Identify best design practices for converting educational material into video-based and animation-based content

 

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience
    • Bachelor Degree in Arts may be accepted as 1 year of professional experience according to strength of design portfolio
    • Experience in video content creation is a plus
  • Advanced experience with design methods including digital illustration, layering and layout
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • In-depth knowledge of working in the RGB color space with basic knowledge of the CMYK color space
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and as a team leader
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver

 

Job Considerations:

The Graphic Design Specialist III role is a full-time salaried position.

  • The company will provide a computer to support all work-related tasks
  • Regular work hours: Weekdays (Monday-Friday) 8:00am-5:00pm; additional hours, as necessary, to complete time-sensitive work tasks.
