We're a founder led e-commerce team that's hiring it's first team members and excited to grow. Currently, we're three founders split between Mexico City and USA, but our first employees live from Asia to South America. If you enjoy small intimate teams that pride themselves in the quality of their work then you may be a good fit.

About You

Does a two hour Zoom session working with another designer sound terrible or amazing? The ideal candidate loves working in tandem with other designers to share ideas, think creatively, and work productively. You will be working directly alongside our co-founder and lead designer. She is someone with experience in a range of design industries such as UX/UI, interior design, and design education. So if you're excited to learn from someone with experience while contributing directly to a small team we encourage you to apply.

Can you accept critical feedback and work quickly to iterate? As a small team it means your work will be posted publicly on our website, product listings, and marketing materials immediately. The impact you'll make will be felt immediately. You should have strong creative skills, be able to think independently, and have a portfolio of work which demonstrates your passion design.

Do you understand how design impacts a business? If you're able to understand how design, user experience, and creativity directly translates into a more successful business that's a bonus. Every design change and creative decision needs to be thought of in the framework of the business. For example, how does this change affect the conversion rate of visitors to the purchase page? We like well rounded individuals who are interested in learning. You won't be responsible for making business decisions, but we love bringing creativity into the workplace.

About Us

Our goal is to have fun while we do this thing called "work". We started out by building Betterway to spend our days working on something we felt was impactful and inspired us to wake up motivated. The goal is to leave the world just a little bit better than we found it through eco-friendly products, how we interact with those around us, and enjoying ourselves along the way.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (bonus if you speak Spanish)

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design

• Expert at Adobe Illustrator

• Proficient in Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite

• Strong communication, conceptual thinking, and design skills

• Portfolio of work

• Experience with both packaging and web design

• A balance of perfectionism, obsession, and understanding when something is good-enough for now
