About Us At Level Nine, we’re working at the frontier of biotechnology and nanotechnology to unlock biomanufacturing at scale and unleash the full potential of the coming Bio-Industrial Revolution. We’re a young, VC-backed deep tech startup based in Berlin, and we’re putting together a world-class, interdisciplinary team who will work at the intersection of synthetic biology, nanotechnology, biochemistry, cell-free biomanufacturing, computational biology, and quantum-molecular modelling. About the Role We are seeking a talented and motivated working student to join our team and support the CEO in managing the day-to-day operational and financial aspects of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded individual to gain valuable experience and to work directly with the CEO of a VC-backed bio-nanotech startup. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CEO in various operational tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Financial data analysis and reporting
    • Expense tracking and budget management
    • Vendor management and procurement support
    • Process documentation and improvement initiatives
    • Setting up and managing operational processes
  • Managing company tools, and ensuring that key dashboards are up-to-date and organised
  • Conduct market research and gather data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Taking minutes during important meetings (w clients, investors, partners) and ensuring timely follow-ups
Additional Information:
  • Location: The role is based in Berlin, but remote work is possible.
  • Hours: Flexible, but approximately 5-15 hours per week.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, TBD.
  • Duration: Six months to start, with an option to extend.
Profile We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in German (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working with online tools (Miro, Excel, Notion), or ability to quickly pick it up.
