About the Role

Paladin is growing fast. Our belief is that design plays a critical role in our mission to accelerate the world’s cyber resilience.

We are looking for a passionate, well-rounded Product Designer to be our first full-time, in-house designer owning the entire design system. Our platform is intentionally broad as we seek to reduce friction for all stakeholders in the cyber risk ecosystem - that means designing experiences for both small businesses and large enterprises. You’ll work closely with our Co-Founder and CEO, Xing, and be a key partner in the full product development process as we transform how cyber risk is managed for millions of organizations. 

We expect you to be a user-obsessed first principles thinker that melds data, research, and intuition to craft delightful experiences that scale. You’re collaborative and goal-oriented with a bias toward action and unassailable attention to detail.

Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000**

**Range listed is for San Francisco, CA. We localize compensation to the top 20th percentile of the applicant's area.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the design systems, visual identity, and user experience to scale existing products and launch new ones
• Untangle vague conceptual problems to craft every detail of new user experiences that balance friction, business needs, implications, and practicality
• Rapidly wireframe and build pixel-perfect designs that are clear, intuitive, and visually appealing
• Partner closely with customer-facing teams to develop a nuanced understanding of each of our user segments’ needs, wants, and desires

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience 
• Strong portfolio of B2B SaaS products where you helped drive critical inflection points
• Evidence of shipping user experiences that moved the needle for business outcomes
• Experience building design systems that scale
• Ability to see the big picture, and then zoom back into the details
• Ability to learn cyber security and insurance quickly 

Bonus qualifications

• InsurTech experience
• SMB SaaS experience

Where is this role located?
Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable. You might be required to be available during times when most team members can collaborate (9:00am to 2:00pm U.S. Pacific Time).
