About Moshicam

We want to make social apps social again. We’re a small startup building new social apps, powered by the blockchain. Our first product was Gallery, a social network for digital artists and collectors. Our latest app is Moshicam, a fun new way to archive your memories and share moments with friends. Decorate your photos as a polaroid with custom frames and stickers, swap photos with friends, all in an app built for people, not content.

We have been featured as a top social app in Coinbase’s app marketplace, seen over 20k photos shared in 3 months, and have had thousands of people across the globe sharing memories on Moshicam since our beta launch.

Our company is backed by top tier investors including Collab+Currency, Delphi Digital, IOSG, and Coinbase Ventures. We’re a small team of seven with backgrounds including Apple, Coinbase, Clover, and many more.

About you

You thrive in fast-paced startup environments, embracing evolving priorities and turning ideas into impactful user experiences through iterative experimentation. With a strong background in visual and product design, you’re adept at user research, gathering insights, and refining designs based on feedback. You’re passionate about creating engaging and fun experiences, building social applications, and designing for growth. Collaborating closely with engineers, you balance ideal designs with practical constraints. You’re passionate about pushing boundaries in the crypto/web3 space.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end product design, from concept to shipping features that delight users
• Partner closely with leadership, product, engineering, and growth teams as a cross-functional team player, leveraging strong communication and collaboration skills
• Optimize designs through user research, prototyping, and data-driven iterations
• Develop and maintain design systems
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts, knowing when to apply pixel-perfect detail and when to use low-fidelity sketches
• Wrangle difficult problems in emerging technology, help invent new mental models, and design cutting edge interactions

What we’re looking for

• Extensive Product Design experience in consumer facing applications
• Attention to detail and focus on craft. Clear understanding of design principles, interaction design, and prototyping
• Proficiency in Figma, research tools and prototyping tools
• Familiarity with design principles for mobile and web applications
• Experience leading design projects from inception to completion
• Ability to distill complex concepts into simple, intuitive design language
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Remote is ok! We have team members in Tokyo, Melbourne, Malaysia, and the United States.

Bonus points

• Branding or marketing experience
• Motion design or animation experience
• Used a few crypto applications and can speak about how they work (ie. Zora, Farcaster, etc.)
• Worked at a startup or built/shipped your own projects before
• Passionate about consumer social apps
