About Bodhi:

Bodhi Ventures is a web3 fund, founded by the team behind the Synthetix protocol. Alongside building we have backed some of the most impactful teams in crypto. Across infrastructure, DeFi, gaming and consumer, we’ve invested and supported a range of products and solutions that are moving the space forward. We are now expanding our reach to establish Bodhi Labs, a division dedicated to independently building products and crypto native infrastructure as well as support for our existing portfolio.

The idea behind Labs is to bring together a stellar team who can lend their expertise across the portfolio. Leveraging our experience, Labs will collaborate with portco’s to identify areas of engagement, offering technical and operational support.

Role Overview:

This is a dynamic role that works across Bodhi Group as a whole. The role will lead Bodhi Labs’ tech initiatives and work closely with the Ventures team, the Liquid Portfolio team, and our portfolio companies from time to time.

As part of Labs, you will work closely with the Ventures team, supporting them in technical due diligence for new investments and providing insight into technology trends and opportunities. On the Liquid side, you will work closely with the Liquid portfolio manager, to build out internal portfolio management and trading systems that will add value to the performance of the fund. Finally, you will also work with our portfolio companies on an ad-hoc basis, to support them from a technical standpoint.

This role requires a robust technical understanding of web3, including smart contracts and EVM, experience shipping and taking engineering projects to production, plus a strategic mindset to oversee new product developments. We are looking for a dynamic leader who will be able to develop a vision for Bodhi Labs and translate it into action.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement technical strategies that align with Bodhi’s objectives
• Help build out infra - Nodes, Validators, Operators, Keepers, Solvers
• Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our internal systems and infrastructure
• Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for their application within our projects and portfolio companies
• Conduct technical evaluations for potential investments and provide expert guidance on tech-related decisions
• Work with the Ventures and Liquid teams to develop dashboards, data analytics and trading tools
• Provide strategic tech support and guidance to our portfolio companies through various stages of growth
• Engage with the wider tech community, representing Bodhi Labs at industry events and forums

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the tech industry, preferably in blockchain or DeFi projects
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with expertise in low-level programming languages such as C, C++, as well as Solidity
• Extensive experience with blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralised applications
• Strong understanding of crypto-economics, trading protocols, and the latest trends in DeFi
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of innovative thinking and problem-solving
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in a startup or incubator environment, especially within web3 or blockchain.
• Demonstrable contributions to open-source projects in the crypto space.
