Zentail is an e-commerce operations platform with one mission: to make e-commerce simple. We help retailers in the following core areas:

Your responsibility as a Business Development Representative is to engage those retailers, develop trust, identify a potential fit, and connect them with our Account Executives for a discovery call.

This person knows how to connect with people and ask questions that uncover pain points and opportunities. This person is genuinely curious about the prospect's business and is a self-starter.

Competitiveness, confidence, thick skin, and strong organizational and follow-up skills are key.

At this time, Zentail is not open to hiring fully remote candidates. You will need to be able to come into the office (in Columbia MD) at least twice a week.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Meet weekly with the sales manager
  • Participate in regular sales trainings
  • Strategically prospect target customers and identify decision makers and influencers
  • Methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales pipeline
  • Maintain a steady volume of activity including outbound calls, tailored emails, and social networking
  • Conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts
  • Set appointments with warm handoff to our Account Executives

Would be nice to have:

  • Software sales experience
  • Proven track record of success building qualified pipeline (prospecting + appointment setting)
  • Inside sales experience
  • E-commerce experience
  • CRM experience
  • Enterprise prospecting experience
  • Bachelors degree and/or a degree in Business
  • 1 year in a sales setting


  • On-target earnings: $75,000+
