Who you are

You are an exceptional hands-on software engineer with experience managing small teams. Your technical expertise extends to both backend and frontend languages, allowing you to effortlessly translate business requirements into robust features. You take pride in writing highly modular and scalable code that is thoroughly tested before deployment. As a true customer-centric engineer, you possess a unique ability to view products through two lenses simultaneously. You see the product from the customer's perspective and understand their needs, while also evaluating it through the lens of an engineer to ensure it is technically sound and feasible.

Your background and skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong understanding of end-to-end product development
• Experience in team management and leadership, particularly in the startup environment
• Previous leadership experience from an early-stage startup is a must
• Strong UI/UX design skills with the ability to collaborate with designers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

What you'll do

You will play a pivotal role in the company's leadership team, contributing to product and business strategy. You will oversee the entire tech stack, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and meets the needs of the business and customers.

• Maintain and build frontend and backend features using a variety of technologies, including Vue (Nuxt 3), React (Next 13), Node.js (Typescript), Firestore, and Redis
• You will work closely with the Senior iOS developer, providing technical guidance and ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms
• Make structural changes and enhancements to the company's tech stack to support the business and drive growth
• Recruit and manage a team of engineers, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills

Your ability to balance technical and non-technical considerations and effectively communicate with both engineering and design teams will be essential in driving the success of the Mentorcam platform.
