Why We’re Hiring For This Role
Our marketing site is where folks discover who we are and what we do—and where we need to inform, inspire, and convert them to join our growing customerbase. We've recently re-platformed onto Webflow and we're seeking a designer with Webflow development skills to shape the next phase of our growth. We’re looking for someone to create a best-in-class experience on
Float.com and make a direct impact through design that gets results.
You’ll report to Cam, our Director of Design, partner with our Visual Designer, Mariana, and have product designer teammates in Jill, Rod, and Shay. You’ll be an operating role in the marketing team, working with Siobhan, our Director of Marketing, and partnering with folks across growth, content, and product marketing, as well as our Front-end Engineer Rohan, for more complex work.
We’re looking for a person motivated by designing a world-class brand and content experience that inspires teams to try Float. As we journey from startup to scale-up, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape our design and marketing team and influence the role design plays in our company's growth.
You’ll take ownership of the design of our marketing site, with the opportunity to:
Lead the next critical phase of our marketing site design. You’ll drive the next phase of our marketing site design to set us up to play bigger.
Optimize design for on-site conversion. Contribute to increasing trial sign-ups with UX design that provides a best-in-class brand experience and optimizes for visitor-to-trial conversions.
Make an impact. Be the driver of our marketing site design strategy and design x development roadmap.
Collaborate and grow. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a marketing site experience that builds brand trust and authority.
Our Director of Marketing, Siobhan, explains the important role you will play within our Design and Marketing teams.

You’ll be working asynchronously with a bright, dedicated team from across the globe, with a strong focus on taking complex problems and creating solutions that feel simple and intuitive for our users.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Early on, you’ll jump right into:
- Own the end-to-end UX/UI of our marketing site, including its design system. You’ll work with our Visual Designer, Mariana, to progress our brand style, UX experience, and UI design for the marketing site, and partner with our product designers to ensure we’re creating a consistent unified experience across Float
- Design and develop iterations of core Float.com experiences. You’ll partner with Siobhan and Cam on brand, and Andrew on data and growth, to design key parts of Float.com to test, learn and optimise
- Design and develop our on-site content programs. You’ll partner with our Content Lead, Fio, to drive the UX design for content-driven programs like case studies, guides, and software comparison pages
Once you are a bit more settled, we expect that you will jump into the following projects:
- Experiment with new growth marketing initiatives like building calculators and creative tools that attract more teams to discover and try Float
- Design new landing page templates that showcase the value of Float and are optimized for conversion
- Design and execution for communicating Float’s new features and product marketing campaigns on site, in partnership with Alexandria, our Senior Product Marketer
- Design execution for building our employer brand through Float careers and our company blog, in partnership with the Talent Team and Siobhan
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
We want you to love your work and believe that these skills will allow you to succeed in the role. Applying these skills requires:
- UX/UI design experience, preferably with SaaS brands, and working end-to-end from early stage ideas, to specs, to wireframes, to polished design
- Webflow design and build experience, on conversion driven marketing sites
- Design systems development, maintenance, and documentation experience
- Experience creating animated assets, using Lottie or similar technologies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate the rationale behind design solutions and tradeoffs in line with project requirements
- Stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize work based on departmental and company goals
As a fully remote team, we’re looking for someone comfortable with asynchronous communication as the default, which means you have previous remote experience and are comfortable using tools like Slack, Loom, and Linear to communicate as needed. Don’t worry—you will have significant deep work time since we have
very few meetings.
