About the role

With fast growth and sales consistently beating quotas, we need our first Technical Account Manager to complete product installations for new customers and own customer service for all customers. Our founders have been leading these efforts, but the sheer volume of new customers now requires that we bring on a specialist to take over.

You'll work hand-in-hand with the two founders (CEO leading sales and CTO leading product development). No two days will be the same. You'll directly engage with customers daily to understand needs, answer questions, and ensure successful rollouts. As an early member, you'll also help build processes to make our implementation team even more successful.

Our internal tools will allow you to deploy our product so you don't need to be a software engineer to succeed in this role but we are looking for someone who is a fast learner and wants to impress customers by going the extra mile.

Responsibilities

  • Complete product installations remotely and in person when needed
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers after contracts have been signed
  • Grow the customer relationship through education, training, and implementation of best practices
  • Master how to use our internal tools to be able to deploy out-of-the-box as well as tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with customers, understand their problems, and design applications using our internal tools to address their needs

Skills

  • Experience working in the sales and implementation phase with retail customers
  • Strong knowledge of how retail and payments work will help but not necessary
  • Previous experience talking with customers and solving their problems
  • Ability to think on your feet, and solve problems during calls with customers
  • Enough coding knowledge to be dangerous is a plus
