Build the technology platform that could support 100 million caregivers.

Noora Health has spent the last 11+ years proving that supporting family caregivers can save lives and make people healthier at scale. With government partners across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal, we have trained more than 58 million caregivers and patients across 16,300+ facilities. We estimate these programs have saved more than 75,000 lives. To learn more, watch our TED Talk, Skoll feature, or read about our partnership with the World Health Organization.

Building products that create confidence and support during moments that matter.

ENTERING A NEW CHAPTER
We’re seeking a Chief Technology Officer that will help us supercharge the impact we can have. We are building products that provide high-quality guidance to family caregivers who are often caring for their loved ones with little support, low literacy, limited connectivity, and limited access to care. We are building for families who are often invisible to both health systems and mainstream tech. As CTO, you will shape our technology strategy and scale the products that will serve more than 100 million caregivers. We are looking for a CTO to help define and build the technology layer for family caregiving at global scale.

Noora Health works alongside public health systems to equip families with knowledge and support during care journeys.

THE CHALLENGE
Noora Health is an 11+ year organization with deep government relationships and a proven model with operations across four countries. Technology will play a critical role in how we support families, health workers, and public health institutions next.

Our technology is nascent but growing rapidly. We have a small and growing engineering team (currently ~14 engineers), a conversational AI platform that is live and evolving, and a set of hard unsolved problems around how AI behaves safely and reliably in high-stakes health contexts for users with variable literacy and intermittent connectivity.

As we move towards a more catalytic era of growth, we need to:

  • Make AI-generated health guidance genuinely safe at scale
  • Architect a system that can integrate with government health systems across different country contexts
  • Build an engineering culture that attracts strong technical talent into the global health space
  • Build a strong system to leverage data insights to elevate the quality of care and support

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a builder-first technology leader. You may have been a CTO, Head of Engineering, founder, or senior technical leader in a scaled product environment. Titles matter less - you should be excited by a role where you will get close to architecture, product, users, and code-level trade-offs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Built or scaled user-facing software products
  • Experience in setting and executing technology strategy
  • Strong judgment across scalable system design, architecture, AI/ML integration, and security
  • Proven experience building and managing high-performing engineering teams
  • Practical experience with AI-enabled products, health technology, conversational platforms, or large-scale user-facing platforms
  • Familiarity with privacy, security, data governance, and responsible technology practices in sensitive or highly regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

YOUR ROLE

  • Technology Strategy & Architecture
    • Define and own the architecture for a platform built to reach 100 million caregivers — resilient across low-connectivity environments, interoperable with government health systems, and designed to evolve as AI capabilities mature
    • Partner closely with Noora Health’s product leadership to translate product strategy into scalable, secure, and high-quality technical systems
    • Communicate the vision to all stakeholders, including team, funders, and partners, to align on where we’re going
  • Engineering Leadership
    • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization; currently ~14 engineers — with a mandate to scale the team thoughtfully as the platform grows. Foster a culture of quality, speed, and technical rigor, and help establish Noora Health as a destination for engineers who want their work to matter
  • Responsible AI
    • Own Noora Health’s approach to responsible AI not as a compliance checkbox, but as a technical and ethical discipline. This means building systems where model behavior is predictable, auditable, and safe in high-stakes health contexts; where failure modes are understood before deployment; and where the communities we serve are not harmed by the technology meant to support them
  • Security & Governance
    • Own technical governance across Noora Health’s digital health products and technology systems
    • Partner with legal, product, and country teams to ensure Noora Health’s technology meets appropriate standards and regulatory frameworks across countries
  • Government & External Partnerships
    • Represent Noora Health in technical conversations with government stakeholders, funders, technology partners, and global health collaborators

WHAT WE VALUE
We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we understand the value of developing a team with different perspectives, educational backgrounds, and life experiences. We prioritize diversity within our team, and we welcome candidates from all gender identities, castes, religious practices, sexual orientations, and abilities — among many others.

We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

Please Note: Depending on the role’s location, the CTO may be hired through Noora Health India Pvt. Ltd., the organization’s subsidiary entity in India.
