We're hiring a Customer Experience Associate role at Venue.ink, a venture-backed Y Combinator company founded by early Wealthsimple team members.
Venue builds software for tattoo artists and studios. We're a fast-growing 10 person company looking for a new member of our early team. Our mission is to make life better for tattoo artists by giving them more time to focus on their art.
The goal of the role is to fulfill inbound customization requests and respond to artist questions quickly and accurately. This role plays an integral part in our growth engine, with a goal to grow 10x in the next 12 months.
What you’ll do:
- 70%: Crush manual ops tickets (editing Typeforms, transferring existing Jotforms or Google Forms into Typeform, creating new books and studios in the Venue admin panel, cutting Linear tickets for bugs and features, and then DM’ing artists to let them know we did the work for them!)
- 15%: Welcome new artists on Instagram DMs and chat with them
- 15%: Respond to artist questions and support on Instagram/email (we use Intercom)

How you’ll grow:
- Ops: You’ll handle increasingly larger and more complex ticket volumes independently. You’ll find ways to automate and scale ops so you can keep on top of increasing volumes.
- Product: You’ll represent the voice of the client in our product. You’ll keep track of issues and requests, and advocate for their appropriate prioritization with the team.
- Sales: You’ll find new ways to help Venue grow, including proactive outreach on IG, following up with prospects and clients, reaching out to studios, etc.
- Reporting: You’ll create metrics to tell us about how our CX operation is performing (ticket volumes, by type, time to first response, time to resolution, etc) and how will improve.
The role is open to US/Canada remote or hybrid in Toronto (~2 days/week with the team).
