What is Crouton?

Crouton builds software that helps internal functions like Ops, Finance, and People keep a full timeline of their people: who works where, who’s on which team, who is staffed on what project. Customers use this information to forecast headcount, strategically organize the org structure, and provide clarity to the team about moving pieces during periods of growth or change.

About the role

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer who wants real ownership. You’ll build features, talk to customers, and help shape the product as we figure things out together.

You’ll work closely with the founder and our customer users. The team is small, and the trust is very high. We care about doing great work and winning, but we also like the people we’re doing it with. If you enjoy building useful things, taking initiative, and having your fingerprints all over the product, you’ll probably feel at home here.

Qualifications we look for

• College degree in Computer Science or related field of study
• At least 1 year in full-stack engineering, from React front-end to Postgres migrations to AWS infrastructure
• High emotional intelligence and kindness
