We are looking for our first Product Designer who will design & own the way Omnea's product looks and feels, whilst also setting the creative direction as we go from initial product launch to thousands of users.‍

We are a design-led business. The success of our product is determined by the quality of our user experience, which is why we're looking to bring in a product designer so early. You will have a seat at the table, helping us understand our customers' needs & prioritise our roadmap.‍

You’ll work mostly with the founders and be taking the reins from Ben Allen (co-founder & CTO), who has been our only designer so far.

Ben Freeman, Co-Founder & CEO

You can find the full job spec here. Highlights below! You can also find more information about what it means to work with us here.

What can you expect?

🎨 Design the core components of the Omnea platform, from v1 to pixel-perfect — this includes our intake, no code workflow builder, dashboard, analytics, and more.

🛣️ Design the future roadmap items from scratch, taking concepts & ideas and turning them into useful product features that will be tested & shipped.

🎬 Communicate designs to engineers, early team members, and help to upskill everyone based on your high bar for design excellence.

👥 Build a best-in-class design function that can scale — set our design standards and processes, bring consistency across all platforms & products, and implement excellent standards for user accessibility.

📈 Work with our CEO to create mock-ups based on customer feedback, helping to win enterprise customers through design excellence.

🤼 Help to dissect the needs of our Consortium (design partner community) across different market segments and work with the founders to shape & prioritise our product roadmap.

What do our backers say?

  • Being the first Product Designer at Omnea is truly a career-defining opportunity — the market is massive, you’ll define a product & leave your mark, you’ll operate with autonomy, and there’s insane growth potential — I’m looking forward to helping wherever I can!

About you

  • You’re experienced (3+ years) in designing beautiful products, ideally SaaS, where you’ve had creative control, and have taken ownership of features.

  • You have good intuition for beautiful aesthetics. You know great user experience and have a feel for when something is off & a sharp eye for detail. You pride yourself on positive customer feedback.

  • You’re comfortable with some ambiguity. Some initial product ideas are abstract & you can find ways to bring them to life and have a strong tendency to design & iterate. You involve customers & the team as you need them.

  • You’re very hands on. Whether it’s a new feature, module redesign, or small optimisation, you’re comfortable getting stuck in & spending a lot of time in Figma.

  • You crave ownership. You’re excited about the opportunity to actually create something brand new. You think deeply about the long-term vision as well as executing on the day-to-day tasks.

  • You communicate well. You actively communicate with customers, engineers, and sales to take them on the journey with you

  • You care a lot. You get fulfilment from seeing people love using products that you’ve designed, and you want to keep growing to build a best-in-class design function that you’re proud of

  • You've got high aspirations, perhaps you want to be a future Founder, CPO/CDO, and are looking for ways to go above & beyond.

It’s more important to have the right mindset and ability to resolve problems than your exact experience with certain products or industries, so please don’t let that put you off applying — we often back hunger over experience.
