Atari, a legendary name in the gaming industry, is embarking on exciting new projects and we are in search of a creative and passionate Senior Designer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating stunning visual designs, developing compelling licensing materials, managing asset libraries, designing presentations, and crafting merchandise and packaging. This role requires a blend of creative design execution, technical proficiency, and a passion for pop culture and video games.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply design expertise to create visually compelling and innovative designs that resonate with the target audiences.

  • Contribute to the design and execution of direct-to-consumer campaigns, ensuring a seamless and visually engaging customer experience.

  • Design impactful product detail pages (PDP), email campaigns, and social media marketing materials that drive engagement and conversion.

  • Manage end-to-end digital design production processes, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery of assets.

  • Utilize advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to bring concepts to life, streamline workflows, and collaborate effectively with the creative team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute visually engaging elements to licensing materials. Ensure design elements align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.

  • Support and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library, ensuring easy accessibility for internal stakeholders and external partners. Implement best practices for version control and organization.

  • Conceptualize and design branded merchandise, including apparel, accessories, and collectibles.

  • Work closely with marketing, licensing, and game development teams to understand project requirements and align designs with overall brand strategies.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and design techniques to bring innovative and cutting-edge solutions to the team.

  • Understand formal brand guidelines and apply those guidelines in design and production in ways that serve our audiences.

Qualifications:

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of visual design, focus on craft, visualization, and ability to take designs from concept to completion.

  • Excellent visual and conceptual skills, including concept generation and design development abilities.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in graphic design.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a design studio or creative team environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat (Adobe After Effects and Premiere a plus); PowerPoint, Keynote, Figma.

  • Possess hands-on experience with digital production workflows and demonstrate expertise in file management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively articulate design concepts, creative process, and design strategy to internal stakeholders, including design and executive teams.

  • Exhibit a keen attention to detail in all aspects of design, ensuring precision and accuracy in the creation of assets.

  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Thrive in a remote work environment, collaborating effectively with teams across multiple locations and time zones.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual  Design, or a related visual field.

  • Strong interest in video games, pop culture, and retro culture/fandoms.

  • Working knowledge of printing and production processes (including CMYK and PMS production workspaces) and product design experience are a plus.
