Are you a rockstar Product Designer who wants to join a startup that is revolutionizing the restaurant industry? If so, Bite Ninja is looking for someone like you to join our remote team of ninja warriors.

Bite Ninja is a newly funded Y-combinator company on a mission to empower restaurant workers to work from home, and help restaurants get reliable on-demand staff. As an early designer on the team, you will play a key role in building out our highly acclaimed MVP into the technology-focused restaurantTech market leader for our sector. Our innovative products include menu ordering, payments, digital communication, AI (NLP) etc.

What's on the menu for you:

• Restaurant industry B2B and POS products are notoriously ugly and boring, we are setting a new standard, so a passion to design and develop deliciously awesome digital experiences for our restaurant staff users is a must.
• Collaborate with our cross-functional team to ensure that our products meet our users' needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that will make our competitors wish they had hired you first.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and user feedback sessions that will leave our users in awe of your skills.
• Work with our engineers to make sure that your designs are implemented flawlessly.
• Continuously monitor and analyze product metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Do you have the right ingredients?

• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio that will knock our socks off.
• Proficiency in Figma (although you use something else if you can persuade us)
• Excellent visual and communication skills, with the ability to make even the most boring B2B designs look cool.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with product managers and engineers
• Strong understanding of UX design principles and user-centered design methodologies
• As an early member, the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A passion for creating innovative and impactful products that solve real-world problems
• Graphic design would be a big plus
• You practice ninjitsu (or at least have ninja-like skills)

FYI, our tech stack is: Typescript, Next.js, Nest.js, MongoDB, Firestore, GCP

Our Team:

We are a small, agile team spread out among the US, Asia and Europe, so working across multiple time zones would be required. You will be working closely with the Product Lead and engineers to scale our awesome MVP in a high-speed, fun and flexible environment.
