As a product lead designer, you’ll be asked to aid creatives in existing projects and provide new and fresh approaches to design problems, helping projects move forward. A typical day will see you split between leading projects, mentoring team members, and advocating design thinking in all directions.
You’ll ensure your projects run smoothly, have great interpersonal skills, and have confidence in handling and delivering client-facing work. You’ll take an active role in communicating and delivering great results.
What you'll do:
You will coach and mentor the Product Designers on the team, and you’re capable of identifying each individual’s strengths and weaknesses
You help your team members grow, bringing out the best in the design department
You work on new and existing web and native app products, maintaining a superb level of design
You create beautiful work of the highest standards
You create new design systems to organize components
You work with cross-functional teams to understand business strategies and create user stories to reflect them
You provide high-level wireframes and be able to explain your reasoning while incorporating client and team feedback
You create beautiful mockups and continue to deliver great design work from concept to delivery
You are capable of adhering to specified brand guidelines, or creating new ones when needed
You provide accurate and precise planning in a fast-paced environment
Management of design schedules and tasks
Effectively communicate roadblocks and breakthroughs to the team to manage client expectations
Liaise with the Project Management and the Engineering teams to ensure deadlines are met

You shift between planning projects and planning programs with ease
You have experience interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams
You continuously explore new practices and patterns for your problem-solving toolkit
You use creativity from a wider perspective in terms of re-framing problems and approaches
You have experience leading multiple projects while sharing work with other product designers and collaborating with cross-functional leadership
You make product and design decisions that are driven by a deep concern for the customer
You are capable of capturing insights from user interviews, interactions, and observation
You are a master when it comes to Design Systems
Requirements:
5 years experience in a similar management position with leadership responsibilities
Incredible attention to detail
Driven to make an impact on the department and the company
Assertive enough to drive a team forward while fostering and maintaining a healthy work environment
Ability to thrive at working independently by erring on the side of actionAbility to meet deadlines and lead a team
Experience presenting to creatives, strategists, and clients from concept to delivery
Experience mentoring and coaching other product designers
Superb knowledge of product design processes, web design, and design systems
Able to quickly adapt and learn new project workflowsExperience in Lean Methodology
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent phone manner
Excellent written and oral English language skills
Able to lead more than one project at once
