Present Company translates insights in order to design new businesses, products, brands and experiences. We do this for clients, partners and across projects we are incubating or developing ourselves.

The role
We are looking for a Design Director that holds customer understanding as critical to their work, and who can lead foundations for projects that span a broad range of what ‘brand’ means. You'll lead the Studio team (and external partners) to execute projects for our clients, spanning across multiple industries, through developing and producing design concepts.
You’ll guide in creation and production, planning and executing initiatives from start to finish with your key collaborators. You'll primarily work across our Advertising, Content and Social briefs with opportunities to cross-collaborate with Brand and Product.

Direct Reports:
Studio team (including but not limited to graphic designers, animators and copywriters.)
Responsibilities:
Set the vision for each project and define the pragmatic milestones to achieve the vision with the cross-functional team
Create design concepts that stretch across media and channels including broadcast, print, web and social.
Iterate and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity (moodboards, concept statements, design explorations, art direction boards, style frames, etc.)
Champion relationships and work strategically with cross-functional working teams such as Creative, Studio, Brand and Digital
Lead the team to execute the best-crafted and high-impact work
Attract and recruit the best talents who will raise the bar
Provide inspiration, mentorship, support, and direction to multidisciplinary creatives and help them perform at their best and achieve their career goals
Build a culture that elevates the team, both performance and morale
Establish the operating model that increases the team’s effectiveness
Work with project and program managers to develop project plans and ensure that projects are progressing and creative is smart, well executed and delivered on time.
Contribute to iterative redesign of Present Company’s approach and IP.
We are looking for someone who:
Goes all in and has the energy to carry big thinking
Pushes for better work and better outcomes
Can digest a brief and collaborate with brief owner on the evolution of the brief
Is curious as to how the broad skills of Present Company can shape their work, and how they can shape their team members
4 years + in meaningful contribution to work of this nature
Passion for, or credentials in, culture, publishing, web3 are a bonus

Salary range
Provided on request, contingent on experience.
