As Atla's Business Development / Operations intern, you will support the company's founding team to drive our mission forward. This is an opportunity to influence the trajectory of a hyper-growth AI start-up. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the development and direction of our AI products, operations, and strategy. As part of your role, you will work on:

• Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects to ensure the company meets its objectives and milestones.
• Strategic Initiatives: Support the team in executing critical business strategies and product development by conducting research, analysis, and providing actionable insights.
• Operational Support: Assist in streamlining and improving company processes and operations (e.g. hiring, administrative support).
• Customer Collaboration: Work with customers to understand their needs and establish custom evaluation metrics. Actively engage in testing these metrics in a programming environment to ensure solutions meet their needs.
• Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with founders, advisors, and top-tier researchers to navigate the complexities of building a fast growing AI safety startup.

Please note that this internship is in-person, with the potential to transition to a full-time position. The duration is at least 12 weeks and the commencement date is early-mid June 2024.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with outstanding results from a Tier 1 university (Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL or other international universities).
• At least two internships or equivalent full-time roles in a similar position: start-up environment, management consulting, venture capital, or tech industry. Previous exposure to a high-growth startup environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Familiarity with AI Alignment.
• Eligibility to work in the U.K.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with computer programming or a grounding in technical disciplines.
• Advanced degrees (MBA, MS, or PhD).
• Completed schooling; graduated by Summer 2024.
• Familiarity with LLMOps tooling.
