Your Mission in a nutshell: As a Junior Controller at Humanoo, you'll have a vital part in supporting the company's financial well-being and helping strategic decision-making. Working under the guidance of the VP of Finance, your duties will encompass a range of financial tasks, such as reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and internal controls. The Team: You will be part of our Finance team consisting of 4 people and will have an opportunity to work in a cross-functional, collaborative start-up environment that is rapidly evolving. Please feel free to apply, even if you don’t match all the requirements 100%! HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME:
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn to develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and growth targets.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct regular variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Cost Management & Internal Controls: Monitor and analyse company expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements. Assist in maintaining and improving internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support and Ad Hoc Projects: Support the annual financial audit process by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed. Also, contribute to special projects and initiatives
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting, PE, financial analysis, or consultancy
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic startup environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of English language and at least B2 level of German language
