The Vision
Navier AI is building engineering software for physics-driven design. We are starting by making Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations that are 1000x faster than current solutions. We're leveraging cutting-edge physics machine learning to accelerate traditionally compute-intensive simulations. Why? Because Engineers deserve better tools to drive innovation, from designing efficient aircraft, to faster F1 cars to silent hair dryers. We're not just improving the status quo - we're redefining it.
The Role: Founding Graphics Engineer
As our Founding Graphics Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of visualizing complex physics simulations. Your work will directly impact how engineers interact with and interpret simulation data. You'll be:
-
Leading Visualization Architecture: Design and develop advanced visualization tools that are integral to our fast engineering simulations, enabling real-time analysis and decision-making. You'll be creating intuitive ways to explore and analyze complex physics fields.
-
Collaborating with the Founders and our Elite Team: Work directly with the Founders and our Founding Engineers to integrate high-performance graphics into our workflows. You'll be bridging the gap between our physics ML models and real-time graphics, ensuring seamless and intuitive user experiences.
-
Optimizing for Performance: Build and optimize rendering pipelines for large-scale datasets, ensuring smooth, real-time interactions even with complex 3D models and simulations. You'll be working close to the metal, potentially leveraging techniques like adaptive mesh refinement or multi-resolution rendering to maintain interactivity.
-
Innovating New Visual Workflows: Create and implement new paradigms for engineers to interpret and interact with simulation data, driving faster iterations and better design outcomes. Your work could redefine how aerospace and automotive engineers iterate on designs.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional proficiency in Rust, rendering and graphics development, Bevy Engine
- Proven track record of building and delivering performant rendering features
- Expertise in writing efficient shaders and graphics algorithms
- Passion for developing the next-generation of Engineering software
The Founders
Cameron and Evan are former SpaceX-ers who’ve built and launched land, sea, air and space vehicles. As aerospace engineers, they experienced firsthand the challenges of slow, inefficient engineering workflows and founded Navier AI to solve these exact problems.
Location & Compensation
- In-person, San Francisco
- Salary: $100K-$200K, with an equity package that reflects your founding team member status.
