We are looking for an Operations Leader who is passionate about building and rebuilding processes and leveraging technology to drive Paragon One’s growth. As a “jack-of-all-trades” leader, you will get to lead different operations teams in never-ending and exciting challenges.

Your main areas of responsibility will be (1) leading growth initiatives to uncover and optimize channels and attract students, (2) managing recruiting pipeline operations, and (3) managing student success processes to deliver an excellent support experience to our students at scale.

You will also get involved in designing and executing experiments that will help us achieve Product Market Fit.

You will work cross-functionally in many business areas, including product, operations, marketing, customer service - you name it, you’ll help with it. This role is a good fit for people who are results-oriented, can use data to identify levers and improve different business processes quickly, but have a deep curiosity to run quick experiments that will challenge the status quo and unlock new opportunities.

What will you do:

  • Design, implement, and scale our student user growth machine to attract thousands of students for externship programs.
  • Improve the efficiency of student recruiting and student success processes as we scale Paragon One to serve 100,000+ students.
  • Work cross-functionally with other operations, product, and engineering teams to productize the student experience.
  • Design and implement experiments to uncover insights and support our growth on the student side
  • Lead the student recruiting team to manage and execute the full-cycle recruitment process. This includes candidate selection, first/final round interviews, offer decision & communication process.
  • Enable and train the team through the entire recruiting process
  • Lead the student success team to achieve high service levels while scaling the number of users.
  • Design & implement a recruiting strategy to attract a strong and diverse pipeline of campus talent that aligns with our partners’ business goals.
  • Build external partnerships with diversity, student & industry-specific organizations, and on-campus contacts.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to influence data-driven decisions and to share results/trends with stakeholders.

Who is a good fit for this role?

  • Minimum 6 years of full-time professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in management/strategy consulting or business operations with relevant experience in process improvement
  • 2+ years of experience working on startups in an operations, product, or growth role
  • Strong project management and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Capable leader with experience managing both full-time and contract roles
  • Collaborative team player and know how to work cross-functionally to get things done.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can manage changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong sense of ownership and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Able to work independently and be a self-starter who takes initiative
  • Hands-on leader who loves to get your hands dirty on solving problems (this is not a strategy position)
  • Exhibits passion and excitement over work and has a can-do attitude


$90,000 - $110,000 / year plus stock options aligned with Paragon One’s stage as a pre-Series A startup
