Job description:

We are seeking a creative and talented Concept Artist, skilled at expanding on visual concepts and bringing creative visions to life. You must be an independent thinker, able to work from a brief, and design and create concepts for our 2D and 3D artists. Your main goal will be to develop a range of designs, including characters and environments, that help our artists create emotionally compelling and engaging animations.

Responsibilities:

• Work with our Creative Lead to develop concept designs for characters and environments that fit within the project's overall vision

• Create initial designs from a moodboard or brief, use feedback to redraft and improve designs, produce final and detailed when final ideas are agreed 

• Communicate and collaborate with 3D and 2D artists to ensure your designs translate effectively into the final animations and bring these designs to life 

• Create high-quality sketches and digital illustrations of your designs using industry-standard software, such as Photoshop or Illustrator

• Work closely with our Creative Director and team of 2D and 3D artists via team meetings and offer creative input to help refine the project's overall vision

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and techniques to continually improve your skills and the quality of your designs

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist or similar role in the animation or video game industry

• Excellent drawing and illustration skills, both traditional and digital

• Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Blender

• Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and perspective

• Ability to work collaboratively with other artists, animators, and designers to achieve the project's overall vision

• Excellent communication and time-management skills to meet project deadlines
