Salary: 35.000 - 40.000 PLN net + VAT

About the role Cloud Architect is the most senior technical role in the Vue Storefront with direct impact on how we design Cloud Architecture & deliver infrastructure.

This is a great role for ones with past experience as DevOps Tech Leaders who now wants to go further with their career path and take ownership of the architecture of the Cloud-Based Infrastructure. In this role you won't directly lead the team. You will focus on designing bulletproof Cloud Architecture used by large-scale software systems, developed by multiple teams. You will also constantly influence way our Cloud Team deliver infrastructure by introducing improvements in the Continuous Delivery processes (e.g. test automation, release automation, DevSecOps).

You will have possibility to design and advise in implementation of Cloud Architecture (GCP) that needs to meet highest standards of High-Availability, Security and Reliability. We operate in high-scale - our infrastructure spans across multiple GCP regions, our GKE clusters hosts more than 500 namespaces. We are using Multitenant Architecture in our Kubernetes to provide secure hosting capabilities for VSF customers.

As the most senior technical member, you will act both as a coach for Tech Leads and DevOps Engineers and an advisor to the senior management (Engineering Director/CTO). You will also play key role in proposing and shaping strategic product initiatives so it will be vital for you to be up to date with emerging Cloud Architecture/Infrastructure techniques, tools and frameworks.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Close collaboration with key stakeholders (Product Director, Engineering Director, CTO) to analyse new product initiatives and propose architecture that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Designing scalable Cloud-based Architecture based on Microservices, Serverless and Cloud-native technologies (GCP).
  • Developing PoCs and Spikes to prove feasibility of proposed solutions, identifying architecture risks. Being thought leader and coach for the teams for topics of Cloud Architecture, DevOps, DevSecOps
  • Creating documentation for Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security Standards etc.
  • Creating risk mitigation plans and disaster recovery procedures,
  • Propose and make architecture & technical choices not following the industry hype, but being able to conduct analysis and challenge of design options.
  • Research and analysis of new, emerging Cloud techniques, tools and frameworks.
  • Propose and implement Cloud infrastructure delivery process improvements (e.g. Continuous Delivery, Automation, DevSecOps)

What do we expect you to have?

  • 7+ years of proven Cloud Infrastructure hands-on experience (AWS, Azure or GCP), (must have),
  • 3+ years of experience with making key decisions about SaaS product architecture and design
  • 3+ years of very strong Kubernetes skills
  • 3+ years Infrastructure as a Code hands-on experience (Terraform)
  • Great knowledge of Cloud Architecture concepts (e.g. Landing Zones, Serverless, Managed Services)
  • Strong programming background (like Typescript, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Java, etc)
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • English B2/C1
