Overview and Job Description

OneChronos is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define, lead, and drive the execution of high-performance trading systems that power our periodic auction matching infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of complex systems engineering, mechanism design, and financial markets, requiring an understanding of low-latency, high-throughput distributed computing challenges.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, a proven track record of managing complex engineering programs in a real-time, performance-sensitive environment, and thrives in a collaborative, research-driven setting.

The TPM is responsible for:

• Partnering with engineering to define the project scope and leading project execution.
• Coordinating delivery with all involved cross-functional teams.
• Tracking project progress and key performance indicators.
• Providing clear visibility and progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience successfully driving technical programs. This includes experienced TPMs as well as individuals from a strong engineering background with at least 1 year in a dedicated leadership or management position.
• Strong technical background and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); previous software development experience is a plus.
• Extremely detail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure accurate tracking and execution of complex, cross-functional projects.
• Experience partnering with engineering and product teams to define detailed project scopes, technical requirements, and robust implementation plans.
• Proficiency with project management tooling such as Linear.
