We are looking for a highly skilled and highly driven Mobile Developer (Flutter) to join our team in Bangalore, India. This is a hybrid position with a requirement to work at least 3 days a week from our office based in Bangalore.

About us

We are creating a brand new way of consuming stories using our AI engine that can convert any text story into an immersive visual novel. Wuri was founded by Pratik & Akshay and is backed by Y Combinator. Pratik is an IIM Calcutta graduate and was a senior consultant at Bain & Co. Akshay has worked as a software engineer at Flipkart, Swiggy & Dunzo.

What you will work on

As the Mobile Developer (Flutter), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Android & iOS apps. You will be the primary developer working on our apps. Our app is getting used by thousands of users daily and it is growing rapidly.

You will work closely with the founders to lead our current development.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your deep understanding of Flutter and related technologies to create a robust and scalable application.
• Apply knowledge of mobile app architecture, design patterns, security aspects in mobile development and best practices to create efficient and maintainable code.
• Participate in sprint planning & product roadmap discussions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, such as Graph QL, and explore their integration in mobile app development.
• Ensure API security, authentication, and authorization are implemented effectively in our Android applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

• 1+ years of strong coding ability with Flutter and related technologies, and knowledge of dealing with different screen sizes.
• Strong portfolio of Android/iOS applications on app stores.
• Ability to perfect app performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex issues.
• Ability in implementing efficient algorithms and data structures.
