We are hiring a Data Engineer to scale-up bipi in Indonesia

Who are we? We are a YC- and venture-backed technology start-up with the ambition to unlock Indonesia’s reseller market potential. We leverage our bipi network of sellers, including “warungs”, to whom we provide modern trade solutions such as point-of-sale, marketing tools and payment terms. We help consumer goods suppliers expand sales channels in a highly fragmented market, while benefiting our sellers with additional income and a wider selection of products.

How can you contribute? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models and schemas Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner Work with stakeholders to identify and define key metrics and data requirements for reporting and analysis Perform data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail Collaborate with the team to enhance and optimize existing data infrastructure

What are we looking for? Ideally located in Bandung (ID) or Kuala Lumpur (MY), but this is not a must Fluent in English and communicates effectively Self-driven and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and data structures Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Solid knowledge of data modeling and database design principles Experience with scripting languages such as Python Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus Worked in high-paced professional environment (e.g., start-up, leading tech companies)
